Alternatives Action and Communication Network for International Development is a non-governmental international solidarity organization founded in 1994.
Our vision
Our mission
Strengthened by our vision and our national and international experience, Alternatives is an organization that works for solidarity, justice and equity, both here and elsewhere in the world.
Our mission aims to create networks, promote and build innovative initiatives in popular and social movements that fight in favour of economic, social, political, cultural and environmental rights.
Alternatives wants to strengthen citizen action and reinforce the contribution of social movements in the construction of sustainable societies.
Alternatives benefits from the valuable support of public figures coming from diverse backgrounds, that of culture and information (the novelist Margaret Atwood, and the journalist and writers Gil Courtemanche, Judy Rebick, Ariane Émond and Stanley Péan), of the social world (Madeleine Parent, Françoise David, Amir Khadir) and the international arena (Mgr Desmond Tutu, Asmaa Jangir, Noam Chomsky).
